Mitsubishi I is an Entry Level EV

The Mitsubishi i is the most fuel-efficient vehicle on the road today, with ratings of 126 MPGe (electric equivalent of Gas MPG) highway and 99 MPGe city. The 2012 Mitsubishi I EV is powered by a small 63-horsepower electric motor and 16-kWH lithium-ion battery. The Range of I electric vehicle is 62 miles per charge, with top speed of 81 mph.

With a starting at $21,125 MSRP, Mitsubishi I is also the least expensive EV on the market . And, it's available from Jeff D'Ambrosio Mitsubishi in Downingtown.

"I have been test-driving the new Mitsubishi this weekend and have found it ideal for the usual errands," adds WSJ.com blogger, Jonathan Welsh. "Its typical driving range of between 60 and 70 miles would make it a good choice for commuting from the New Jersey suburbs to Manhattan. It fits into the smallest parking spaces and has a smaller footprint than nearly every car on the road."1

Mitsubishi is setting the mold for electric-car pricing is: begin with a price most are willing to pay. Don't forget, there's a $7,500 federal tax credit available to all who purchase an environmentally friendly car.
