Mitsubishi lovers "down under" get ready, because the innovative automaker is adding a bit of shine to its already sparkling new Mitsubishi lineup. Four of its prime models will see Platinum-edition variants exclusively made for the Australian market: the 2012 Mitsubishi ASX, 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer, 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander and 2012 Mitsubishi Pajero. While the tricked out vehicles aren't currently headed to the U.S., Jeff D'Ambrosio Mitsubishi is more than happy to share the exciting model details nonetheless.
Overall, Platinum updates are largely the same across all four of the models. Some of the features include the following:
- Leather seats- Heated front seats
- Steering-wheel-mounted controls
- Embedded reversing camera
- Six-way power driver seat
Where the bumped-up Mitsubishi vehicles differ mainly comes down to the exterior. Front fog lamps, chrome exhaust tips and Platinum badging vary as well as initial pricing. Beyond these factors, the Platinum Pajero is really the only model to stand out significantly in offerings from the rest. Special edition Pajero drivers will be able to take advantage of the Mitsubishi Multi Communication System with voice command, automatic headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, rear-passenger air conditioning and an 850-watt Rockford Fosgate 12-speaker sound system.
Like we said before, these specific Platinum packages aren't available at lots like Jeff D'Ambrosio Mitsubishi at 1221 E. Lancaster Ave. Downingtown, PA 19335. However, rest assured that when Mitsubishi does put together superb vehicle-feature bundles here in the U.S., we'll make sure those in the Downingtown area are the first to know.
